The Podium magazine

Since 1947, The PODIUM has served as the official publication of the two National Honorary Band service organizations, Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma. The PODIUM is the successor to Kappa Kappa Psi’s first publication, The Baton, which was published on a quarterly basis from 1922 to 1933. The PODIUM, a “show-window of the college band world”, serves as a snapshot of the Fraternity, Sorority, and the college & university band at the time.

The cover of this issue uses elements of the 2021 National Convention visual brand identity created by our Publications Manager & Multimedia Designer Robert Bratcher. The mask reflects the current health guidelines during the pandemic.

The cover of this issue uses elements from the official 2019 National Convention logo, designed by our Publications Manager Robert Bratcher. It depicts parts of the National Headquarters and the Edmon Low Library at Oklahoma State University.

The cover of this issue is a custom illustration of drum majors by Robert Bratcher. The concept (and pose of the drum majors) comes from a photo of the drum majors of the Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm.
